Five alternative rejuvenation therapies

Cleopatra used milk and honey for her flawless skin. Egyptians vouched for the mud pack and Indians burnt almonds for that perfect kohl to adorn their beautiful eyes like the Bani Thani of the Kishangarh School of arts.

The high cost of bio medicine, the focus on toxic drugs that could have harmful side effects and the dismissal role of spirituality and humanity in healing chronic health problems has led today's modern woman to shun away chemical products containing collagen and other chemicals.

Stress, heart diseases, anxiety and the constant pressure to perform well in the rat race has forced us to retrieve back to mother nature. Alternative therapies like reflexology, Shirodhara and Mukhabhgyangam help in establishing the mind and body connection.

Preventing ill health by using holistic practices and wise lifestyle choices are fundamental to a sound body and mind. This month, say bye to the conventional pop-a-pill mantra for every infection and instead experiment with these alternative therapies.
